Defining Canada – Canada Has An Indentity
Book Review: The Great Divide: Why Liberals and Conservatives Will Never, Ever Agree – REALity
The liberals believe the purpose of the state is to perfect economic and social equality, but conservatives accept that human beings are fallible and imperfect by nature and there is a natural difference in people i.e. some more talented and intelligent. The conservatives defend this kind of natural inequality as a vibrant and certain sign of a free and flourishing society. They also defend the conviction that the strong have an obligation to help, to teach, and to lead the weak, the less gifted, and the vulnerable. The liberals on the other hand, believe simply put, that the state must erase these inequalities among people.
Stats Show Leftists Are More Likely To Be Mentally Ill. No Surprise There
We’ve long subscribed to the notion that leftists are freakin’ bananas. There’s plenty of real-world evidence to back it up. Making up a new gender every week. Demanding for the rights of pedophiles. Even having multiple nervous breakdowns because their candidate lost (see all stories post November 8th). Which is hilarious, we’ll happily admit. Progressives have done a stellar job of making themselves out to be cuckoo. But now it looks like there’s empirical evidence to back up the idea that leftists are mentally ill. Charts and all…
It used to be a joke when conservative talking heads referred to liberalism as a mental illness. Well now science has chimed in. Turns out… they’re just as crazy as we’ve always attested. Thanks, science!
These loopy leftists aren’t playing with a full deck, but they want absolute control over everything. Including your healthcare, child’s education, retirement (social security), and how many genders there are in any given day. It’s unsettling, sure, which is why we apply the chuckle therapy as often as possible. Use as directed.
Culture in Canada
Canada’s culture has historically been influenced by European culture and traditions, especially British and French. Canada’s federal government has influenced Canadian culture with programs, laws and institutions. In general, the way of life, family structure, cuisine, and dress are closer to those of the United States than to those of Britain or France.
Canada has become a cultural mosaic in which immigrant groups have been able to retain much of their ethnic culture. The major metropolitan centres have provided several focal points for artistic activity stimulated by a rapidly urbanizing society. Like the cultures and customs of other countries, culture and customs of Canada are very distinctive and unique. Canada occupies a very specific piece of the world’s geography.
History and present government
Canada has been a monarchy for centuries – first under the kings of France in the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, then under the British Crown in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and now as a kingdom in her own right. These lands had been occupied for thousands of years by Aboriginal Peoples who, now for many centuries, have maintained an enduring and very close relationship with the person of the Sovereign and the Crown of Canada.
The territories which now form Canada came under British power at various times by settlement, war or cession.
A large section of Eastern Canada (now Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island) was home to the Acadian People and ceded to Great Britain in 1713. Fifty year later, New France (Quebec) was also ceded by the Treaty of Paris.
