Mexicans Protest Caravan – Cost of Migrants
Tijuana border crossing shut as Mexicans protest against arrival of migrant caravan
The United States closed its busiest border crossing with Mexico for several hours on Monday, following a day of protests in the city of Tijuana against the arrival of the migrant “caravan”.
Queues at the Tijuana crossing stretched back for several miles as traffic into the US was blocked while new security barriers were installed, causing anger among the 110,000 people who enter the US every day.
Protesters in Tijuana, Mexico, want migrant caravan to leave
“We’re sounding like Trump’s America here in Mexico,” said Francis Belmontes, who joined the demonstration with his two children.
Tensions rose Sunday as hundreds of residents protested the arrival of thousands of Central American migrants who are expected to linger in this border city for months as they try to claim asylum in the United States.
A group opposed to the “chaos” of the so-called migrant caravans protested outside the largest makeshift shelter as Mexican police in riot gear formed a perimeter. The demonstrators sang the Mexican national anthem and waved flags as they urged the migrants to go home.

California: A Cesspool
Remember the famous (but sad) saying, “If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes truth.” Well I have the number one lie in America for you—”Diversity makes us stronger. Immigration makes us more prosperous.”
Sorry, but not always.
California is Exhibit A. It’s filled with immigrants. Ten million to be exact. Many of them illegal. Guess which state has the highest poverty rate in the country? Not Mississippi, New Mexico, or West Virginia, but California—where nearly one out of five residents is poor. That’s according to the Census Bureau.

California: A Cesspool of Illegals and Psychotic Liberalism
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier in California, one of their leading politicians steps up to the plate. Ian Calderon, the Democratic majority leader in California’s lower house has decided that the big problem his state needs to address is straws. Yes, straws. Not taxes, not immigration, not crime, not the abysmal California budget. Straws.
Calderon has introduced a bill to stop restaurants from offering their customers a straw unless they ask for one. The penalty set forth in the bill for giving an unrequested straw is up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $1,000. I suppose they think the thousand dollars isn’t much since Nancy Pelosi said a thousand dollars is just “crumbs.”

Immigration – A $30B fiscal burden on Canadian economy?
Far from contributing to Canada’s economy, ever since the mid-1980s, immigration has in fact cost the country billions of dollars that will never be recovered, argues Herbert Grubel, Professor Emeritus of Economics at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.
As new residents of Canada, immigrants become consumers of the country’s public services – from healthcare and education to infrastructure and public transit. These services are financed through taxes, which are collected according to people’s incomes.

Multiculturalism: A Failed Policy
Are all cultures equal? Yes, according to Multiculturalism.
Numerous heads of state including Nicolas Sarkozy (France), Angela Merkel (Germany), and David Cameron (UK) have recently proclaimed that multiculturalism has been an utter failure (see here). Many people are baffled by this position as they confuse multiculturalism as a political normative philosophy with the colloquial use of the term meant to represent cultural, religious, and ethnic heterogeneity (or pluralism).
