Outrage After Alleged Leaked Memo from Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Instructs Reporters to Not Refer to 9/11 as ‘Terror Attacks’

As the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaches, the far-left Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is under fire after an alleged leaked internal memo instructs reporters not to refer to the event as a ‘terrorist attack.’

According to The Jerusalem Post, the story was first reported by Canadian journalist Warren Kinsella, who received the memo.

A screenshot of the memo shared by Kinsella shows it originated from Basem Boshra, Senior Director of Journalistic Standards and Public Trust at CBC News, and was sent to reporters and editors.

Per The Jerusalem Post,

In bold letters, Boshra states the attacks are not to be referred to as terrorist attacks.

He then continues by saying that “The hijackings led to passenger jet crashes in Washington, DC, and Manhattan. The World Trade Center (WTC in second reference) was destroyed.”

A CBC spokeswoman told Kinsella: “CBC’s longstanding language guidance regarding the terms ‘terrorist’ and ‘terrorism’ is a preference for the use of these words with attribution, a practice shared by many of the world’s top journalistic organizations. Our general manager and editor-in-chief has written publicly in the past on the subject.”
