A suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for violently stabbing a passenger on a Toronto subway train.
A suspect has been arrested and charged with attempted murder for violently stabbing a passenger on a Toronto subway train last week, according to CBC.
Moses Lewin, 25, of Toronto, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order, Toronto police said.
Lewin is accused of stabbing a man in his 30s following a heated argument on a southbound Line 1 train near Eglinton Subway Station around noon on Thursday. The man was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition but is now stable, according to police.
A graphic video shows the two men physically beating each other on the train, which escalated into Lewin pulling out a knife. After pulling out the knife, Lewin chased the other male to one end of the subway and stabbed the victim several times before fleeing, police said.
