Trudeau spent Christmas vacation at luxury resort owned by Trudeau Foundation donor
The Trudeau family has known the Peter Green family since the 1970s when then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau stayed at the location.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family vacations are again under scrutiny after a report revealed he stayed at a luxury resort in Jamaica that is owned by a prominent and generous donor to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation.
Radio-Canada reported Tuesday that the Trudeau family stayed at the Prospect estate – a favorite spot for the rich and famous – from Dec. 26, 2022, to Jan. 4, 2023, in an opulent villa next to the Caribbean Sea.
The Trudeau family has known the Peter Green family since the 1970s when then Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau stayed at the location.
Both the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner and the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) refused to say whether they knew the Green family is a Foundation donor when they reportedly approved the trip for Trudeau, according to Radio-Canada.
